Who This is For

Growth Groups are for kids who:

  • Hesitate in groups or leadership roles

  • Struggle to make friends or join play

  • Spend too much time alone or on screens

  • Lack confidence around peers

  • Would benefit from being part of a team

Between sessions the kids, parents, & coach stay connected through a shared group chat & document.

Thats where confidence and friendships are built.

How It Works

Six kids and a coach meet via Zoom for six weeks.

The kids connect by working together on weekly missions and take on rotating leadership roles.

  • Real-life peer interactions

  • Outdoor activity

  • Making plans with others

  • Trying new things

But they don't only practice social skills within the group. They apply them in real life throughout each week.

The missions are designed to encourage:

Example Missions

60-point team challenge

  • Say hi and smile to someone new (1 pt)

  • Invite someone to a playdate (5 pt) etc.

Secret agent

  • Complete a social or personal task secretly

  • Teammates guess based on the result

Team project

  • Choose, create, and present something together

  • Examples: "Top 5 ways to make a friend", "best outdoor games", etc.

Nature art

  • Draw or paint in an outdoor space

  • Share with the group the following week

Active navigator

  • Spend 60 minutes outside with a friend or family member

  • Bonus points for multiple days

Missions are selected based on group's age, needs, and goals

  • Team Captain

  • Brainstormer

  • Action leader

  • Energy Booster

  • Time keeper

  • Storyteller
